Free drinks and unprofessional behavior

The agent sat back observing the workings of the bar, and noticed that not all bartenders were spindling their orders.  Several were just simply thrown away.  Xxxxxx, Bartender 2 and Manager 1 were all observed throwing away receipts.

Xxxxxx was observed with two cash orders in her hand with two paper tab receipts.  Xxxxxx carried them around with her for at least ten minutes, made several drinks, and did general work with this money in hand.  She eventually approached one of the computers and rang both orders in at the same time.  She took the extra cash and put it into the tip jar.

Xxxxxx approached the agent and asked if he would like a second round of drinks.  The agent ordered one more drink, and observed as Xxxxxx used the proper pour technique to mix the drink.  Although Xxxxxx did not ring the drink in immediately, ten minutes later he entered it in to the computer and replaced the first tab that was placed in the shot glass with the new tab with the correct amount.

Xxxxxx came by noticing that the agent’s guest had a drink that was almost empty.  She offered to get another drink, the agent’s guest accepted.  Xxxxxx made the drink using the proper pour counts, and sat the drink on a coaster in front of the agent’s guest.  Xxxxxx never rang the drink order in to the computer, and did not charge the spotter agent for the drink.

Xxxxxx the waitress approached Xxxxxx at the bar; said she had put the wrong beer order in, and said she needed a Coors Light.  Xxxxxx opened the Coors Light bottle and handed it to Xxxxxx.  Xxxxxx walked away and returned a few minutes later.  The agent did not observe Xxxxxx entering the item in to the computer at all.  When Xxxxxx spotted Xxxxxx again, she yelled across the bar, “Hey Xxxxxx, put in the Coors Light”.  Xxxxxx said that she would put it in the computer as soon as the server computer was free.  Xxxxxx was standing in line at the server’s station waiting for Manager 1 to finish his transaction.  The agent could not be sure if the item was ever rung in to the computer.

Xxxxxx shattered a glass, and Manager 2 happened to be walking near the bar.  He yelled out loudly to Xxxxxx, “you break it you buy it Xxxxxx”.  Xxxxxx stood there making a pouting face.  The manager then said, “well at least drink it”.

The overall feel of the bar seemed to be a bit disorganized and unprofessional.
