BARTENDER THEFT:
Bartender Summary
· Bar1: Hispanic male, tall, average large build, mid 40’s, slicked back black hair, wearing glasses on his neck. Patrons referred to him as Xxxxx.
The agent and associate sat at the bar and reviewed the alcohol selection. The agent was looking for tequilas which were not viewable on the far side of the bar. After a few minutes Bar1 inquired what the agent and associate wanted and the agent was unsure. Bar1 did not attempt to direct the agent. After a few minutes Bar1 inquired if the agent wanted a drink or a beer. The agent inquired about margaritas. Bar1 offered the house, but the agent was not interested in the well tequila. Bar1 did not attempt to upsell at this point.
The associate inquired about a drink menu, and Bar1 stated there was not one. The agent then inquired about other tequila options and the agent was informed the tequilas were on the other side of the bar. Bar1 then offered an up sale margarita. The agent agreed as did the associate (see food and beverage summary). It did not appear that Bar1 entered the beverages into the POS.
Bar1 made the beverages immediately. The tequila did not have a pour spout making it difficult to get a true count. The drinks were delivered on napkins with lime garnish. Both beverages were made with salt, the option to go without was not given. The beverage tasted rather strong, the glasses were ¾ full before any mixer was added.
After 10 minutes at the bar another employee (the agent will refer to him as the busser and give additional description in the busser area) brought the agent and associate chips, salsa and a menu.
The agent and associate were ready to order at 6:24PM, but could not get Bar1’s attention short of yelling out for him. At 6:41PM an order was placed. The order process began around 6:35PM but issues arose causing the ordering process to take quite some time (see food and beverage summary).
The appetizer was delivered at 6:54PM by the busser. The plate was hot and came with a warning. The busser offered additional salsa which was accepted. The agent also requested water at this time.
The entrees were delivered at 6:59PM again by the busser with a hot plate warning. He cleared used plates and ensured nothing else was needed.
The agent and associates glasses were empty and almost empty at 7:22PM. No offer was made for additional beverage by Bar1. The busser inquired if the associate, who’s beverage was out needed another, then inquire about the agent. An additional order was placed (see food and beverage summary) with the busser. The busser pour a beer and served it to the associate, he then informed Bar1 of the agent’s order.
Bar1 made the agent’s beverage using un-spouted tequila and served it on a napkin with lime garnish. He then returned to the POS.
The busser checked on the agent and associate to clear plates and boxes were requested (see food and beverage summary).
At 8:05PM the agent pulled out a credit card and placed it on the to go box in hopes to get Bar1’s attention. The agent went between leaving the card on the to go box and handling it in clear view above the bar top. At 8:14PM the agent finally made eye contact with Bar1 and requested to close the tab.
The tab was closed immediately, with errors (see food and beverage summary)
The agent did not find Bar1 at all friendly or attentive. Had it not been for the busser the agent would not have eaten, received additional beverages, or had a clean bar top.
Questionable activities:
6:18PM unknown female enters bar area. She appears to be a waitress coming off duty (see photo, Hispanic female dark hair, wearing grey, pink and white striped shirt). She has with her a Styrofoam cup which she pours grey goose into. The agent did not see the beginning of the pour, but the bottle was emptied into the cup. She then left the bar, conversed with a table in the dining area and was not seen again.
7:00PM Bar1 has a cranberry juice and vodka that was made at the well and then set aside. He then drank from the glass while conversing with another patron.
7:11PM Bar1 pours a 5/6 count (approximately 2 ounce) margarita.

7:40PM Bar1 pours a 5/6 count (approximately 2 ounce) captain and coke for a waitress.
7:53PM a patron inquires about changing the television station to a different game. After fussing with the remote for a minute or two, Bar1 drops the remote on the bar top in front of the patrons and comments that he is too busy and they can find it.
7:54PM Bar1 pours an 8 count (3 ounce) Patron Tequila margarita for a customer who he then fist bumped. The man threw a $10 bill on the bar and said for bartender to “keep it.” Bartender then deposited the bill into his tip jar.
